Honey calcite is actually a calcium carbonate and it is semi-transparent or transparent whose color range includes golden or brown or pale gold. The calcite, in particular, contains some particulate inclusions ofhematite, an iron-oxide mineral, which is responsible for its honey-yellow and amber color.
