The Birthstone for May is EMERALD!

Emerald is the traditional birthstone for May, but there are several alternative stones associated with this month.

Agate, a type of chalcedony, is the top alternative and has been a birthstone since Roman times. It is also associated with the star sign Gemini.

Chalcedony is a birthstone alternative for May. It comes in various colors based on the minerals in it. Named after a town in Asia Minor, it was known to the ancient Greeks and Romans.

Carnelian is a type of quartz that is mostly associated as a birthstone for August but in the Hebrew calendar is associated with May alongside agate and chalcedony.

For May's birthstone, green is the traditional choice, making it an excellent gift option for your May-born loved one.

New Collector Starter Sets!

We've put together some starter sets for new collectors.  Priced as groups instead of individually you can save money while getting someone (or yourself) a good start.  If you are interested in individual coins, they are listed in the appropriate denomination.

Half Dimes

The half dime, or half disme, was a silver coin, valued at five cents, formerly minted in the United States between 1792-1873.

These coins were much smaller than dimes in diameter and thickness, appearing to be "half dimes". The introduction of the copper-nickel five-cent pieces made the silver coins of the same denomination redundant, and they were discontinued in 1873.

Wanted to leave a positive review on my recent purchase. 1920 s walking liberty, Beautiful coin, excellent value, fast shipping. A pleasure to do business with. Will definitely buy from them again!
