Dumortierite in Quartz 1

A plate of dumortierite in quartz from Brazil.  Fabulous with fully terminated quartz points adorning the top, while one small one shimmers on the bed of blue dumortierite on the bottom.  94.9  grams, 3.5" x 2" long. 

Dumortierite is a very rare aluminum borate silicate mineral that is found in the form of masses, small prismatic crystals, or fibrous inclusions within Quartz.
