Cookeite is an uncommon member of the Chlorite mineral group and is often associated with Tourmaline, however, it can be found in conjunction with Quartz. It comes in a variety of colors and can form in small drusy crystals or tiny spherical crystals. It naturally contains lithium.
This is a small, but really intricate example of cookeite in Quartz. There are a number of quartz crystals with perfect terminations pointing in all directions, while the cookeite is nestled between them with a tan, almost golden color. 1.32 oz, 1.5" x 2"
