Chalcopyrite is a copper and iron sulfide. Often a brassy yellow when freshly mined, it tarnishes to an iridescent purple, blue or red when exposed to the atmosphere. This piece is quite special - the iridescent red contrasts with the slightly pink, creamy white of the dolomite crystals. 6.65 oz, 2" x 2.5"
