Dumortierite is a minor blue gemstone that usually forms as inclusions in quartz. Its most common color is blue or grayish-blue, though pink and purple colors are also known. This lovely stone hosts a myriad of colors that range from a pale gray blue to a deep royal, similar to lapis. Sprays of its fibrous crystals are visible throughout.
