Thanksgiving 2024

We are grateful for the life we get to lead, the opportunities for growth, but also the opportunities to rest where we are at this moment.
We were blessed this year with abundance in our claim. Each pocket we open brings us closer to the next one. A pattern developed along the way: when Pete made a solo trip his specimen bucket was empty on return most times. Chris and Oliver tried to join him at least once a week, and it seemed those were the times we made a strike.
Sarah and Chris enjoyed a fantastic summer filled with shows. The weather was beautiful at each event, which was a welcome change after last year’s deluge. Additionally, people seemed warmer and friendlier this time around. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude for Sarah's help at all the shows. She generously gives up workdays not only to handle the heavy lifting during setup and takedown but also to assist visitors at our table when Chris becomes a little irritable at the end of the day. We always say to speak to Chris in the morning and Sarah in the afternoon to get the best version of both.
We are grateful for our health and ability to continue our work. We are thankful for our friends and family who cheer us on every day.
Today, we take this day to rest and restore, spending time with our cherished family members and missing the ones who could not gather with us.
Thank you all for being with us this past year.
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” - William Arthur Ward
