June Bookmark - Freshwater Cultured Pearl
This product is currently sold out.
|Freshwater pearls, traditionally cultured, are created when an irritant is placed in a freshwater mussel. In natural pearls, which are rare, the irritant may be another microscopic organism or bit of sand from the water. In cultured pearls, a mother-of-pearl bead or a piece of tissue is inserted (by a human) into the mollusk to start the process. Such beauty created from being irritated! This June bookmark is copper wire wound around a string of freshwater cultured pearls.|
